No transition point, masses or other causes likely to progress to complete bowel obstruction

Lactate (<2.5)

Surgery has seen patient and do not plan for admission or intervention

Normal Vital Signs

Normal Mental Status

Normal functional status

Known abdominal malignancy

Feculent emesis

Abnormal or unstable vitals

Need for NG tube decompression 

Tolerative PO 

Passing  stool and gas

Ongoing or worsening emesis after 24 hours

 Significant lab abnormalities

Patient unable to take PO medications or able to safely care for self in home environment.

Uncontrolled pain
